Our Vision

Establish a one-stop-shop for Black, brown, and justice-involved residents from marginalized communities with the purpose of improving inequalities within the social, economic, and criminal justice systems.

Our Mission

To develop and coordinate a total Durham partnership comprised of existing programs, resources, and organizations to enable access and seamless entry to comprehensive services for community member success.

ABOUT US

Wrap Around Service

Provide “wrap-around” services with unified community-based resources; alternatives to incarceration; combined reentry services; workforce readiness, mentoring, and family-sustaining jobs for underserved communities in Durham.

Capacity Building

Direct individuals, groups and/or resources to existing programs who align with our mission to combat inequalities within social, economic, and criminal justice systems.

Workforce Development

Partnered with Durham Technical Community College to provide a unique workforce education and job readiness program titled 'BRIDGE' - Building, Reinventing, Improving, for Developing Great Employees and Entrepreneurs.

Event Based Advocacy

Hosts, promotes, and participates in events to educate and inform on the issues that impact persistent quality of life issues for persons of color.

HR-JM, 2024 Sustainability Leadership Honoree

City Club Raleigh
On behalf of the Hayti Reborn-Justice Movement organization, Executive Director of Operations Lisa "LA" Jones accepted the 2024 Sustainability Leadership Award presented at the annual Wakaboomee Earth Day Gala on August 20, 2024, at the City Club Raleigh. The gala celebrates achievements made by individuals and organizations that help to advance environmental and human sustainability.

BRIDGE Graduation, Cohort 3

Durham Technical Community College
A March 26, 2024, graduation ceremony celebrated 10 residents who successfully completed the BRIDGE program. BRIDGE is a unique partnership between the Hayti Reborn – Justice Movement (HR-JM) and Durham Technical Community College. The keynote speaker for the celebration was Angelica Stroud Greene, Battalion Fire Chief - City of Durham. Greene is Durham’s first African American Female Battalion Fire Chief. Check out video of the ceremony including inspirational remarks from the class representative and community officials.
